YouTube monetization and RPM checker

See how close you are to YouTube Partner Program eligibility, and get a rough rupee estimate of ad revenue per video. Sign in to run the checker.

YouTube's current Partner Program thresholds are 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days — check YouTube's own policy page, since these can change. ₹20–₹150 RPM is a rough Indian starting range; your real ad RPM depends heavily on niche and audience location. What this checks

Two different YPP thresholds, one checklist

You need 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 public watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days — not both watch-time paths at once.

Subscribers needed

1,000

The same requirement regardless of which watch-time path you take.

Watch hours path

4,000 / 12 months

Based on public watch hours across your long-form content.

Shorts path

10M views / 90 days

An alternative path that does not require the watch-hours threshold.

Questions creators ask

Do I need both 4,000 watch hours and 10 million Shorts views?

No. You need 1,000 subscribers plus one of the two watch-time paths, not both. Meeting either the long-form watch-hours threshold or the Shorts-views threshold is enough.

Why is the RPM range so wide?

Ad RPM varies enormously by niche, audience country, and season. The range here is a rough Indian starting point you should adjust to match your own channel's category.

Does meeting these thresholds guarantee monetization?

No. Meeting the thresholds makes you eligible to apply; YouTube still reviews the channel against its policies before approving ads.
